Consolamini popule meus – choir score
Composer: Heugel; Johann (1510-1585)
Instrumentation: Eight-part mixed choir a cappella
Format: Sheet music
Product code: PAN1502
The double choir Consolamini popule meus, written in 1539, is probably one of the most unusual compositions of its time in Europe. The ending is particularly sensational for the 1530s, as it is more reminiscent of a classical musical grand finale than of a Renaissance composition.
