Transcribed & edited by Gordon J Callon. There is an extensive preface with information on Cavalli’s Canzona, interpretation, ornaments and embellishment. The Great Bass function is Basso Continuo so it is quite acceptable to play without keyboard or, indeed, with keyboard and no Gb. There is a separate realised keyboard part.
